Land of Eem Session #1

Bodie: Puffcap the Dungeoneer (Mushrum)
Erno: Twick the Rascal (Imp)
Kah Wai: Sir Rattle the Knight-Errant (Skeleton)
Monika: Glorp the Loyal Chum (Gelatinous Goo)

The party arrived at Wally's Waffles and Weorgs, where they heard the plight of both L. Dorothy Sandwich and Wally, the owner of the establishment. They left L. Dorothy to her plate of waffles and pursued a quest to save Wallys from a corporate take over by SPL (Subterranean Pits and Lairs LLC). The team was quite kitted out from their existing inventory but not much in the way of weapons. Twick did acquire a slice of magical cheese from Wally's kitchen, which is known to be strong and to put hair on one's chest.  Shortly after descending into the basement they found clues of rodents of a considerable size and Glorp the Loyal Chum found a nice set of heavy armor.

Puffcap the Dungeoneer conferred with some chatty mycelium. They picked their path and crawled through dark and dingy tunnels, came across a murdered Kilorat and some useful items, and met a large angry rat who shared their distaste for SPL. They followed it to talk the rat king, King Klik. It led the party into a dark cavern where Sir Rattle got caught in black sticky webbing. Puffcap contemplated burning the web but the black inky stuff is known not to burn. Twick the Rascal fitted the knife pulled from the dead rat on to the end of a 10' pole and cut Sir Rattle free, but lost the knife in the process. Glorp, the good chum that he is, crawled to a spot that contained a horde of treasure while the party waited for a trap to spring. Glorp found pulsating egg sacks and a sack of copper coins. A stream of tiny spiders hatched and crawled toward a dark chasm.

They decided not to go towards the chasm and instead take the other path. The path lead to the chasm anyway... Twick flew across to secure an additional rope to climb across. He discovered a glittering forest of crystals on the other side. Glorp remembered his dear friend Jonathon planted flowers here. He tried to cross the rope bridge but the rope slipped out of his slimy hands. He landed safely on a big spider's web, who sensed his presence. Twick stashed some dynamite in a blanket and tricked the spider who then went kablooey. Twicked grabbed Glorp to keep him falling to the depths below but was loosing his grip. The crew above tossed down some rope and rescued them in the nick of time.
